Materials Involved
We primarily utilize heavy-wall box section steel for the main framing to prevent any long-term sagging. Solid steel round or square bars are integrated for infill, alongside heavy-duty adjustable hinges and reinforced lock boxes.
General Fabrication Considerations
Ensuring the outer frame remains perfectly square during welding is critical, as any heat distortion can cause the gate to bind upon installation. Large spans require strategic diagonal bracing. Tolerances for automation equipment, intercoms, and physical locks must be precisely calculated prior to initiating fabrication.
Project Process
The project starts with measuring the exact opening on site. The structural sections are mitre-cut and tacked together on a flat fabrication table. Once squared and clamped, the frame is fully welded and ground flush. It is then thoroughly cleaned and sent for hot-dip galvanizing and powder coating to guarantee long-term protection against the elements.
